Saturday 1st – Llanddeusant Working Party Weekend. All Day Event (Outdoors). Join Julian for a weekend of Sunday 2nd fun tidying up the Llanddeusant YHA. Communal meal on the Saturday night followed by some atmospheric story telling by firelight. On Sunday, we hope to do a short local walk before returning. Sunday 2nd Family walk. Margam Park. • – A 2 mile stroll suitable for families with young children and anyone who likes a gentle pace with lots of hanging around! Buggy-friendly. Tuesday 4th Film at Cineworld. (6.00-9.00 pm). Join Phil Sheen for a trip to see a film at Cineworld, meeting at

Saturday 8th Porth Walk (Public Transport) •• – A train-assisted 10-mile walk on the hills and in the forest above
Porth. Start at Trehafod station, through Barry Sidings Country Park, up into St. Gwyno Forest, possible pub stop at Llanwonno, and end-of-walk tea stop at Rhondda Heritage Park. Meet at 9.40 a.m. at Llandaf station to catch the 9.47 train to Trehafod, returning from Porth. BPL. Leader Clive 07910 820 345.

Sunday 9th Chepstow Piercefield Park walk (Small COGs) •• – Following in the footsteps of the Wye Tourists, this 6 mile walk explores the area north of Chepstow with its picturesque river and woodland scenery. BPL. For further details contact Wayne McGrath on 01633 894809.

Tuesday 11th Chinese New Year meal, 7.30-10.30pm. Join Katherine to celebrate the Chinese New Year with a meal at the Summer Palace Restaurant in Llandaff. Please contact Katherine on 029 20881572 by 8th February to book your place at the table.

Sunday 16th Goose and Cuckoo Walk near Abergavenny •• – 9.30am-5.00pm A circular walk of about 7-8 miles from Llanover in picturesque little walked countryside south of the Blorenge near Abergavenny. The route follows remote byways and footpaths to the ancient and remote Goose and Cuckoo Inn high above the Usk Valley. BPL, Start from Chapter 9.30am. Contact Brian 02920 494645 or 07974952176.

Tuesday 18th Social Night at Chapter, 8.00-10.00pm. Hosted by Bob N for a drink and a chat. Meet at Chapter in
the bar area from 8.00pm.

Saturday 22nd A week on the Somme. Eight of us have hired a gite in the Somme Valley for a week. There will be
