Sunday 3rd Turning of the Year Walk, Llantwit Major – This undemanding 4 mile walk will include Ghostly tales and tall stories from old Llantwit Major followed by lunch in one of the town’s ancient hostelries. Sunday 3rd  Smaller COG Walk. Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare  – Join Phil and Gill for a 2 mile walk suitable for families with young children and people who don’t mind stopping a lot! Buggy-friendly.  Play area and cafe. All welcome. For details contact Gill on 07519 233490 or by e-mail

Sunday 10th Tintern Walk •• A 6m circular walk between Brockweir Bridge and Catbrook.  See the autumn colours of the Wye Valley. BPL. Leave Chapter at 9.30am. Contact Bob 029 20575229 or 07780 701365

Sunday 10th  Small COG Walk – Forest Fawr Geopark – 4/5 mile walk along the waterfalls, Grid ref: SN928124.  See amazing scenery including 4 waterfalls as we head on a circular route including a  pit stop at ‘White Horse Inn’ in Pontneddfechan.  Approx 4 miles with lots to enjoy and explore  along the way. Plenty of wet gear needed and good walking shoes/boots with grips.  Not suitable for dogs or pushchairs.  Meet at car park @ Porth yr Ogof for 11.30am.   Car park has toilet facilities.  For more details contact Sara Mallet on 07989 470184.

Tuesday 12th Social Night at Chapter – Hosted by Brian for a drink and a chat at Chapter.  Meet at Chapter in the bar area from 8pm.

Sunday 24th Forest Of Dean Walk •• A 8-9 mile walk, this starts from Beechenhurst Car Park (Sculpture Trail) near Speech House. BPL, possible pub stop. Parking cost £3. Leave Chapter at 9.30am. Contact Brian on 029 20494645 or 07974 952176.

Tuesday 26th Tanzania Talk – Join Ceri for a talk on her travels in southern Tanzania, the Lunagwa valley in Zambia and Northern Malawi. Meet 8pm at Chapter – Media Point.
