Sunday 4th – Ewenny Walk ••
12 mile circular walk from Ewenny Priory, taking in downs, clifftops, beach, woods and meandering brooks and the Coed y Bwl nature reserve in the magical Castle-upon-Alun valley. Tuesday 6th  – Book Reading Circle
Please join us to discuss the book, This Thing of Darkness by Harry Thompson, a historical tale about the nineteenth century voyage of the Beagle and the rather bizarre experiment by Captain Robert Fitzroy concerning four Patagonian Indians whom he brought back to England to be educated. The book centres on discussions between Fitzroy and     Darwin concerning morality, nationality, biology, fate and God and more besides… If interested contact Liz by e-mail on  8pm start at Liz’s home.

Sunday 11th – Talybont Reservoir and Carn Pica Walk •••
12 miles. We warm up with a few flat miles along the Taff trail, before the steep ascent to Carn Pica that will make you even warmer. Tuesday 13th – Talk on London to Paris Cycle Challenge
Talk by Jinny Santavy who is undertaking this trip on behalf of British Heart Foundation (50th anniversary this year).  Donations welcomed at Meet 8pm at Chapter – Media Point.

Sunday 18th – Wye Valley Walk ••
This 10 miles circular walk will take us from Ross on Wye to the village of Waldorf, taking in views from the hill fort at Chase Woods and returning along the river path to Ross on Wye. BPL. Tuesday 20th – Austria Talk
Clive gives us a talk on the COG Summer holiday last year, when 8 of our members visited Austria on a walking trip. Meet 8pm at Chapter – Media Point.

Sunday 25th – Senni Watershed Walk •••
17 miles, heading south from Defynnog, completing a high circuit of the picturesque Senni valley. Hills include Fforest Fach and Fan Nedd.  BPL. Contact Steve B on 07812 586949 or by e-mail

Sunday 25th – Wye Valley Walk ••
7 mile walk in the Wye Valley taking in King Arthur Cave, Seven Sisters, Biblins Bridge and Symonds Yat Rock.  Refreshments at Symonds Yat at Saracens Head.  Most scenic parts of the River Wye in one trip! BPL. Meet at Chapter at 10am.  Contact Phil Sz on 029 20471 072 or 07967 381243.

Tuesday 27th – 3 Peaks Briefing Volunteers

Saturday 31st – 3 Peaks Trial
